Holiday homes in the Algarve
Objective
The owner wanted to increase surveillance in his holiday home, located 300 km away, for controlling some contracted services such as pool cleaning, gardening, among others.
Solution
Installation of the VisãoWeb application with full use of its surveillance, security and home automation features. For surveillance, the Axis 207W was used for internal monitoring and the 215 PTZ was used for protecting the exterior areas of the pool and the gardens. A security system was also installed, with flood, smoke and presence detectors and also X10 systems for controlling the exterior lighting.
The owner was thus offered several advantages, such as:
- To check the alarm console's records;
- To act directly upon all the devices, by mobile phone or internet (with no need for extra Plug-ins);
- To check the historical report of recorded images;
- To receive all notifications of intrusion, flood or smoke on his mobile phone;
- To program an event for switching on and off the external lighting at predefined times;

Objective:
The purpose was to have visual control of the premises, in order to assess rush hours and guarantee customer and staff safety. It required a mobile viewing point, through several computers and interfaces.
Solution
Fitting one or two cameras in each place (according to the area's dimensions). The selected devices were the Axis 207W, since they allowed network connections by cable or wireless when necessary.
The devices characteristics, with a simple and efficient interface, allowed for the entire installation to be made by the companys network technicians.
Practical results:
- image recording at times predefined in the events' area;
- digital motion detection outside the working hours;
- in one single access, the manager can view all the stores;
- access by mobile phone or any internet-connected computer;
Industrial premises of a textile company
Objective:
The company had had a surveillance system for several years, which recorded the images using a tape recorder. There were 20 cameras, but only 16 devices were required for permanent recording. The remote transmission and the advanced tools for recorded images management were hindrances to this project.
Solution
The system selected was made up of a VPON video-recorder, with a capacity for 16 video cameras, and an Axis 240Q transmitter for the remaining 4 cameras. This way, all the existing cameras were used, simultaneously taking full benefit of the VisãoWeb platform.
