EuroX10, the largest European portal dedicated to residential automation, is an active component of the CentralCasa distribution process and the result of a national project started in 2002.
The goal of this project is to have the repository of technical information on the subject, with documentation and images, and also to allow users to share their experiences through the forum available.
It is managed by CentralCasa, which is incorporated in a group of companies with different competences but with a common objective - development and retail of products and services in the field of domotics.
The company is structured in 4 major areas of intervention; each one has a process manager, responsible for the area and maintenance of the quality system within the scope of ISO 9001: 2008 certification.

The CentralCasa Company
CentralCasa, Lda was constituted in 2003, with the aim of offering the best service specialized in home automation, with added value in know-how, innovation and training.
Most of the products commercialized by CentralCasa use X10 technology - a communication protocol based on communication through the power grid. This system is simple to use and inexpensive to install, since it uses the existing electrical network. The system has existed in Europe and the US for 25 years and ensures compatibility between products.
To date, several steps have defined the path of the company, always characterized by rigor and professionalism, namely:
1999 - Creation of PontoPR, company specialized in the development of distributed applications;
2002 - The first portal dedicated to home automation in Portugal - or CentralCasa.com;
2003 - Launch of portals in Spanish and English;
2003 - Certification for installation of EIB / KNX systems;
2004 - CentralCasa received the 1st prize in the 6th edition of the Young Entrepreneur Award, promoted by ANJE (National Association of Young Entrepreneurs).
2004 - Launch of the first version of the Web-based application;
2004 - Official X10 distribution in Portugal;
2004 - Contract with Portugal Telecom (provider of telecommunications services in Portugal) to provide residential automation solutions;
2004 - 4th place in the Ericsson Mobile Awards, promoted by Ericsson;
2005 - Participation in CEBIT, the largest technology fair in Europe, as partner to develop the Siemens Smart Home solution;
2005 - Contract with ADI - Innovation Agency, to support the existing Research and Development group;
2005 - Launch of the site dedicated to the project area of the CentralCasa company, available at www.centralcasa.pt
2006 - The Quality Management System is based on the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000.
2007 - Award of the ISO 9001: 2000 Certificate.
2007 - Supply of the VisãoWeb platform to Sonaecom, for retail clients to companies;
2008 - Creation of CSide - Intelligent Solutions S.A., as a spinoff of the CentralCasa group, this new company assumes the entire I & R software department, being therefore a dedicated structure with optimized solutions for Telco's, Utilities and other large entities. The DigitalHome platform is the premier remote surveillance, security and home automation control product. In recent years, CSide has been active in energy management and monitoring solutions, always working for or with ISP throughout Europe.
Always seeking the best solutions, CentralCasa has developed a strong know-how in growing protocols such as Z-Wave and Zigbee, being the first company to integrate Z-Wave residential automation with a professional offer with several residential projects, commercial units and to public facilities.
2011 - CentralCasa has updated its ISO 9001: 2000 certification to ISO 9001: 2008, complying with all the requirements to provide products and services within said certification;
Currently, the company has facilities in Lisbon and Porto. Its headquarters are located in the north of Portugal, in Vila Nova de Gaia, near the Arrábida bridge (CAM building).
