It is not recommended to use Shelly smart switches for controlling inductive loads that do not have a filter to eliminate the high voltage spikes that these loads can generate when switched on/off.
In such cases, an RC filter/Snubber should be used to prevent malfunctioning of the Shelly module and/or premature wear of the relay contacts.
Some examples of inductive loads are electric motors, fans, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, conventional transformers, etc.
